Jászság Multi-Purpose Partnership of Local Governments
The Jászság Multi-Purpose Partnership was established on 20 September 2004. As the legal successor of the Jászság Regional Development Association, it performs the following duties:
Education
Social work and child welfare
Public health
Regional development
Environmental and nature protection as well as waste management
Development of economy and tourism
Internal control
Public education
18 member settlements in the Jászság region constitute the Partnership. The Jászság Multi-Purpose Partnership Secretariat as the work organization, performs its duties in conformation with the decisions of the Partnership Council. The aim of the operation of the Partnership is to enable the settlements to carry out such developments, projects and goals which they would find rather hard to achieve as individual settlements. László Hajdú, Mayor of the town of Jászkisér, is the Partnership Chair, with Deputy Chairs Dr József Gedei, Mayor of the town of Jászberény, Dr István Szerencsés, Mayor of the township of Jászdózsa, and István Dankó, Mayor of the township of Jászladány.
There is no better proof of the need and usefulness of the Partnership than a table, which summarizes – although not in their entirety – the achievments and the major completed projects.

The aim of the project is to represent the unchanging cultural values, to expand the range of cultural riches with an emphasis on regional characteristics and region-specific traditions, as well as the promotion and handing down of these traditions; to connect the values of the Jászság region and to coordinate the settlements of the subregion.

Besides the winning tenders described above, the Jászság Multi-Purpose Partnership also strives to establish direct contact with the residents of the Jászság region. The Partnership was present at the Jász Expo (2006, 2007, 2008) and at the first Jász Hospitality Fair (2008), the Jász World Fair (2006, 2007, 2008) with its own stand, while representing our subregion at the Travel and Tourism Expo 2007 in partnership with the Tourinform Offices. Further tools of providing information as well as a means of maintaining contacts are the Jászság Homepage and the Jászság Tudósító ( a newsletter, 25 thousand copies of which are issued twice a year).
